Stop Motion!

For the project of stop motion I was asked to pick a scene from the book Roz The Wild Robot!! And so i picked the scene of when Bears are attacking Roz The Robot.

WWW, What went well is that we didn’t need to restart or something like that so that was lucky.

EBI, It would be even better if we had longer scenes and more detail.

SOUND UNIT

Introduction

Hello Today I am going to be talking about how Sound is made: For example near the middle of your ear there is something called an eardrum this is one of the ways that you can hear sound if the sound is quiet in one ear and loud in the other ear then that means that the sound is coming from the other direction.

Did You Know.

Did you know that even when you are sleeping your ear still hears things but your brain just chooses to ignore the sound did you know that if not now you do!

About How We Hear Sound

Here are a few pictures of sound waves. Sound vibrations as well.

Noise

Sound is when something makes a noise for example: Someone smashes a pan onto a table that would make a loud sound but if someone smashed paper on a table you can’t even hear it maybe you can hear it but you can hardly hear it   even if you can.

A Fun Fact
An Interesting/Fun  fact
is that if you tie a string to a one cup and the other end to the other cup one person puts their ear and the other one talks if you do that you can hear each other

here is a cool picture of me and my friend trying it out

Go Check It Out

To go check out their blog their blog name is Raz’s blog so go check it out.

Experiments

One of the experiments that we have done is to put a tune fork into a beaker with water the water should splash you so if you try this be ready for water.

one of the experiments that we have done is learning about the ear so to learn about this we made a clay model and named the different spots and each spot is a different colour

The sound is vibrations that our ears hear we can’t see the vibrations but we know that they are there.

 The properties of sound are:

  • Sound travels

  • Sound can be reflected

  • Sound can be absorbed

  • Sound can be modified

  • Sound is caused by vibrations

LIGHT!!!

Hi Sisters today we are doing a Science project in class about light.

Natural Light /VS/ Artificial Light

An example is

Natural Light is like Sunlight it goes by the sources of the world. Also natcher set a timer for the sun and moon. The  object reflects off of the Light in the room or the sun and bounces into our eyes

SUB TITTLE

Light bounces

A cool fact that I didn’t know  before is that the Light bounces off of objects and into our eyes so that we can see things. Did you know that is the only way to see things?  Isn’t that So cool!

HOW LIGHT TRAVELS.

Something else we are learning  in Science is How light travels I thought that it wouldn’t work but it DID we just needed to move some things around then we saw the Light going through each and every hole in each page (yay) it worked. Here is a picture of it. cool right i think it’s really cool

TRANSLUCENT,TRANSPARENT,OPAQUE.

Something  we learned in Science is Translucent,Transparent and Opaque. Translucent means see through. Transparent means foggy but you can still see a little. Opaque means thick full like you can’t see through it at all like it’s blocked off. Here is an example when it’s sunny you can see through the window when it’s cloudy you can see but less when it’s Opaque it’s night time you see nothing because it’s soooo dark.

EMITTING LIGHT,REFLECTING LIGHT.

Emitting Light  is when something takes in all the light like  to suck it in but then Reflecting Light is like when light bounces off things like a mirror or a window.

Habitats

Introduction

Howdy. Today I am going to talk to you about habitats. We’ve been learning about Habitats in Science.

Section 1

Did you know that there are a lot of different habitats such as safari, rain forest, forest, desert, coral reef, ocean and jungle. In every habitat there are Herbivores, Omnivores and Carnivores. Examples of herbivores are deer, horses, rabbits and bees. Omnivores are black bears, squirrels and raccoons. an example of Carnivores are lions, tigers, eagles ,hawks, sharks and frogs.

Producer & consumer

a producer is a plant but then

a consumer is an animal.

Roz’s Recount

Unit 7134
When I was first on the Island I broke out of a crate . I was on the top of a mountain. I started to climb down the mountain. When I got to the bottom I saw otters but they were scared. They ran away.A huge storm began. I had no clue what was happening and I got really scared. I didn’t know what was happening.ThenI started to slip down a mudslide.I am programmed to keep myself clean so as soon as I stopped sliding I started to clean myself. When I was clean I climbed a tree. So I went to sleep. When I slept I shut down. When I woke up I thought I was in a safe place so I stayed in the tree branch then pinecones started falling on my head. It started to get annoying so I got off the tree branch by falling down the rough tree.
When I finally got to the bottom I found a stick bug it was camouflaged in with the twig. So I tried to do the same thing but I quickly realized that it was much harder to camouflage than it was for the insect. I finally understood how to camouflage myself
